Talk show host Wendy Williams has news for the Aaliyah family members that think the new movie about the singer's life and death should have been sold to a major motion picture company instead of Lifetime: They should be grateful that she knows what's best and support the biopic's television release reportedly set for February. The wigged wonder is also calling out Rosie Perez on recently being hired to The View cast and wants all the credit for the for getting her the job. In between telling people how much they personal owe her, Wendy also decided to support Britney Spear's recent decision to broadcast the fact that her ex-boyfriend, David Lucado, was a cheater after their recent split.
Wendy Williams, who has become an executive producer on the new Aaliyah movie set to premiere next year on Lifetime, wants the singer's family to know that they are 100 percent wrong for making a fuss about the film not being shown in theaters: (via NY Daily News):
"In my opinion, TV trumps motion picture.
"In my opinion, as a woman who loves to lay in the house and watch a motion picture, I feel that the family might be a little misguided in the power of box office versus TV.
"Lifetime will play the movie over and over. TV is the way to get your story told."
Wendy also seems to think, that along with Aaliyah's family, Rosie Perez should be thanking her getting her that job on The View--by incessantly talking about it of course:
"Let me tell you something. Rosie Perez, I helped get her that job.
"When I first found out they were looking for new people, I said, I will show past clips [of Perez on The Wendy Williams Show].
"I've said, Rosie Perez, The View, are you kidding me?...Me and Rosie Perez have joked with one another regarding us championing her."
With Williams so busy insisting that she is one of the few people in showbussines that seemingly have their head of a swivel, it comes as a little bit of a shock when Wendy recently endorsed Britney Spears call to public shame her man after they broke up--but she never had been able to so no to the gossip.
In her latest contribution in Life & Style's September 22, issue, Wendy claimed that it was okay to kiss and tell just as long as you were talking about someone else:
"I love that Britney Spears was not afraid to call out her ex-boyfriend, David Lucado, in front of thousands of fans at her Las Vegas 'Piece of Me' show on August 31,
"She told the crowd that David cheated on her--good for her.
"I am glad Britney's speaking her mind...This is girl power at its finest."
You have got to be kidding.
