Martin Lawrence Confirms ‘Bad Boys 3’; Quinten Tarantino ‘Django Unchained’ Star Daniele Watts Fights LAPD Racist Treatment [VIDEO]

Who would have guessed that the very same week that comedic actor Martin Lawrence were to announce that the long awaited sequel with Will Smith, Bad Bay 3 is going to be made, he gets his thunder stolen by the actress that plays his daughter on the FX series Partners. According to the latest gossip news update, Daniele Watts, best known for her role as CoCo in Quinten Tarantino's Django Unchained, had a run-in with the LAPD that she claims was humiliating and race motivated. Danielle was placed in hand-cuffs after refusing to give her ID to an officer, because she claims the Sgt. Parker had no right to detain or question her in the first place. Watt's boyfriend, who was with her at the time of the incident, believes that the police were convinced that the Hollywood starlet was a prostitute.

It would seem Michael Bay may be ready once again to make a movie that doesn't have Transformer in the title.

Martin Lawrence recently announced on Conan O'Brien's late night talk show that finally everything is falling in place for another Bad Boys to sequel to materialize:

"I just talked to [producer] Jerry Bruckheimer yesterday and he said it's real, they're working on the script, they're getting close, and it all looks good."

In the meantime, Lawrence is working for FX on his new show there, Partners, which also stars Django Unchained alum, Daniele Watts, as his daughter.

If the two ever share a moment alone at craft services, perhaps, Lawrence could give her a few pointers on how to deal with the police now that she is sort of a celebrity--since he has so much experience with it and her first run-in with the law didn't go so well.

Watts was apparently placed in hand-cuffs the other day by officers with the LAPD, after she refused to comply and present her license to the police.

The fuzz claimed to have received a complaint about indecent exposure while Watts claimed they were crazy and tried to walk off--that is when they brought her back as a temporary detainee.

After a fairly heated war of words accusing the cops of being racists among other things, Watts eventually proffered her license and was released without arrest.

While some folks are insisting that the couple were publicly having sex in their car that seems highly unlikely being that the LAPD would have no doubt arrested her if they had anything to suggest that was the case at the time.

Daniele's boyfriend, Brian Lucas, explained on Facebook, that he believed that the cops probably were profiling, but it may have had as much to do with what she was wearing and doing as it did the color of her skin (via Daily Mail):

"From the questions that he asked me as D was already on her phone with her dad, I could tell that whoever called on us (including the officers), saw a tatted RAWKer white boy and a hot bootie shorted black girl and thought we were a H* (prostitute) & a TRICK (client).

"What an assumption to make!!!Because of my past experience with the law, I gave him my ID knowing we did nothing wrong and when they asked D for hers, she refused to give it because they had no right to do so.

"So they handcuffed her and threw her roughly into the back of the cop car until they could figure out who she was. In the process of handcuffing her, they cut her wrist, which was truly NOT COOL!!!"

WWDD...What would Django do?
