Mayim Bialik doesn't mind shoving her own breast in her kid's face, but she has a major “Problem” when Ariana Grande does it. The former Blossom star and breastfeeding advocate, recently blasted the Sam and Cat actress over a racy billboard. Mayim Bialik took to her kveller.com blog, to rant about the pop star in a post, titled “The Problem With That Giant Billboard of Ariana Grande,” writing:
“I am a bleeding heart liberal without exception. But I am old-fashioned. My kids have clothes they only wear to synagogue. I don’t favor my kids cursing. I dress modestly. I don’t want my kids learning about sex from billboards. Stuff like that.Which is why a few billboards I have seen lately really bug me.
Bialik, who apparently doesn’t know who the biggest pop star in the world is, or how to use Google, went on to single out her “Problem” with Ariana Grande (Seriously, she claims to not know who Ariana Grande is, so we assume that the title of her blog post was just a coincidence):
“There is one for Ariana Grande, and I will go ahead and admit I have no idea who she is or what she does. Based on the billboard, she sells lingerie. Or stiletto heels. Or plastic surgery because every woman over 22 wishes she has that body, I’m sure. Why is she in her underwear on this billboard though? And if she has a talent (is she a singer?), then why does she have to sell herself in lingerie? I mean, I know that society is patriarchal and women are expected to be sexy and sexually available no matter what we do in society, but I guess now I need to explain that to my sons?”
Dear Mayim. Where it is true that being a parent this day in age is scary as hell, you can relax. You don’t have to explain to your boys that sex and showbizz go hand in hand, there is a whole process to do that for you. It is called puberty and it will happen to all of our children whether we like it or not. So relax, don’t stress about it, instead try and focus your attention showing them that a beautiful women isn’t defined by her body. You will come to find that a lot of guys in the real world already know that, and we aren’t exactly Calvin Klein models either.
