‘Divergent’ Shailene Woodley and Theo James Dating Split: Boyfriend Ansel Elgort New Adam Sandler Movie Role? [TRAILER UPDATE]

Regardless of what you may have already read on the internet, Divergent stars, Shailene Woodley and Theo James, are not dating and they never have been. Before the pair could even think of taking things to another level, the Underworld action star would have to first split with his longtime girlfriend, actress Ruth Kearney. The duo did recently explain that the reason they seem to share real chemistry on Insurgent, is because they genuinely do, but the stars are determined to use that energy to bring a real emotional core to the movie. Meanwhile, the trailer for Shai's Fault of Our Stars boyfriend, Ansel Elgort's new film with Adam Sandler, Men, Women & Children, has been released.

If you honestly thought that Shailene Woodley and Theo James were a real couple after watching Divergent on the big-screen, the action stars probably won't blame you.

In a recent interview, both Shailene and Theo explained that not only do they have a real-life sexual chemistry, but they do their best to try to use it to make the franchise more emotionally compelling (via VC Post):

"Shailene:

"The more you get to know someone the more comfortable you are, the more you're able to explore in certain scenes because you're able to be more vulnerable or not worry so much."

"James:

"There's real stakes behind it, and sometimes that's hard to find in spectacular situations.

"If you're watching these movies that are spectacles, which are fun and it's about this thing and escapism, sometimes the crux of the emotionality gets lost.

"That doesn't necessarily sometimes matter, but we are trying to retain that with this film."

Even more interesting than hearing those two blather on about trying to make people cry during an action flick, is the news that Ansel Elgort's new trailer for Men Women & Children, is finally available.

According to the Hollywood Life, Ansel joins a star-studded cast for a flick that focuses on dating through texting and social media in the modern age:

"Ansel Elgort, 20, joins an all-star cast including Adam Sandler, 47, and Jennifer Garner, 42, in a movie that deals with the highs and lows of the digital world we live in today.

"The first sneak peek features deeply personal text messages, cheating themes and a crying scene with Ansel."

Let's hope that is going to be a whole lot funnier than it sounds.
