After Season-Ending Indy Car Victory, Brazilian Driver Tony Kanaan Brags and Won't Let Valets Park His Car

Even though rival Will Power won the Indy Car Championship two weeks ago, Brazilian driver Tony Kanaan is happy that he won the final race of the season at Fontana. The season-ending victory gives him a psychological edge, perhaps, and according to Kanaan, he gets to brag during the offseason because he won the most recent race. And get this: Kanaan is so macho that he won't even let valets park his car!

Indy Car driver Tony Kanaan is pleased as punch to have won the final race of the 2014 season. Even though he didn't win the overall championship he says he's got an edge because that's gonna be the last thing that happened until next season (via LA Times):

"'Extremely happy,' Kanaan said after celebrating in Victory Lane. 'The good thing about winning the last race, you get seven months to brag' before the 2015 season starts next spring, he said."

In the meantime, Kanaan can have fun messing with valets. The cocky Brazilian sounds a bit like his friend and teammate Helio Castroneves when he jokes around about cars and women (via TMZ):

"IndyCar champ Tony Kanaan says his car is like his second wife ... and nobody gets to put their hands on it but him ... which is why he refuses to let valets park it at restaurants.

"'If it's a RENTAL car, I'll let the guy valet it ... if it's MY car, I will pay him extra then I want it to park and usually I ask to park up front.'"

Take my wife, please! If his career in Indy Car racing doesn't work out, maybe Kanaan can make a career for himself on the old Vaudeville circuit.
