Barb Jungr Brings Her Collection of Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen, 'Hard Rain,' to New York's 59e59 Stage

We've written about her before, Barb Jungr and her latest interpretations of Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen songs for her latest LP Hard Rain. Now, Jungr brings the songs to the 59e59 stage, performing songs from the disc to the public.

Premiering from Oct. 28-Nov. 9, Barb is accompanied by pianist Tracy Stark and percussionist Mike Lunoe as she reconstructs the timeless classics of two iconic voices.

And as Rough Guide to Pop put it, she is "arguably the finest cabaret singer in recent times."

The running time of the show is 85 minutes with an intermission (I mean, some of these songs already have their own 10-minute running time à la Bob Dylan).

From "Blowin in the Wind" to "Land of Plenty" to "Masters of War" every song in the leading canon on these two superstars will be featured during her performance.

Tickets range from $24.50 (for members) to $35 (for non-members) and set times vary depending on the date so keep yourself updated via their website.

Until then, here she is doing "Like a Rolling Stone" (the audio might be hard to hear).
