Former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan won't need additional surgery before returning to the ring, according to online sources. The report says that Bryan's wife Brie Bella has announced that Bryan is regaining strength in his right arm and won't need to undergo Tommy John surgery on his elbow as they had feared he might. The Total Divas star did not, however, provide a timeline for when fans might expect the fan favorite to come back. She only noted that the wrestler once known as the American Dragon is in rehab and doing well.
Brie brought joy to thousands of fans when she reportedly announced that Daniel Bryan wouldn't need to undergo any more surgeries and instead was in the process of rehabilitating his neck and arm (via Bleacher Report):
"Brie Bella reportedly said in a media interview for Total Divas this past week that her husband Daniel Bryan will not need a second surgery as expected. Doctors made their decision this past week.
"Brie added that Bryan is going through rehab and is slowly regaining strength in his right arm. There's still no word on when he will be back in action but WWE officials are hoping for three months from now."
The fine line between wanting Bryan back as soon as possible and knowing that he shouldn't come back until he is completely healed is a slippery slope for fans as well as writers.
And at this point, any guessing would be completely without sources or evidence (via Wrestle Zone):
"As of right now, when Bryan will be able to return to the ring is still unknown. The hope is that he will be back by the end of 2014, and are shooting for three months. That would put him back in December, prior to the WWE TLC pay-per-view..."
