Even though the Buffalo Bills franchise has been sold, they are staying put. New owners Terry and Kim Pegula have every intention of continuing the tradition their predecessor, original owner Ralph Wilson, held for over 50 years. On the field, Chicago Bears couldn't hang with Buffalo on Sunday. The Bears have a lot of issues, particularly on defense. If Da' Bears don't step up their game, they are in for a long, hard season.
New Bills owners Terry and Kim Pegula seem interested in keeping operations the same as before. They haven't yet stated any plans other than staying in Buffalo, but their tone seems to indicate an interest in continuing the tradition of Wilson's franchise (via ESPN):
"Kim and I are humbled and honored that the Wilson family has chosen us to be the second owner of the Buffalo Bills... Pending the NFL approval process, being the next owner of the Buffalo Bills would be a great privilege for our family. Ralph Wilson left an indelible mark on our community and we will strive every day to honor his legacy."
With a 1-0 start, the Bills probably have mixed feelings about the beginning of their season. But the Chicago Bears have even less to celebrate.
The Bears couldn't get it started on offense, but they also couldn't stop the Bills. They are in need of a bottom up reconstruction (via ESPN):
"The Bears offense deserves the lion's share of blame for three turnovers and 20 points. But the defense sure didn't look improved from last year's dumpster fire. We are a few games from fans calling for defensive coordinator Mel Tucker's dismissal and free-agent pickup Jared Allen's release. OK, maybe one game."
