MAJOR SPOILER ALERT: Tonight is big premiere of the seventh and final season of FX’s Sons of Anarchy. Charlie Hunnam (Pacific Rim) recently opened up to about the finale season, and Jax’s revenge plans for his wife Tara’s killer.
The official, and very brief, plot synopsis for tonight’s Season 7 premiere episode of Son’s of Anarchy, titled “Black Widower” reads:
“Jax seeks vengeance in the Season 7 premiere.”
The show’s star, Charlie Hunnam, recently spoke to TV Guide about how he his coming to terms with this being the show’s last season:
"I've been having some pangs of sadness and also kind of panic. [As the character] part of it is not recognizing that this is Season 7 and the show is going to end, so his fictional life is needs to be wrapped up in one way or another. I just never think about that stuff."
Hunnam went on to talk about Jax’s state of mind after the bloody murder of his wife Tara:
"I don't think Jax has really truly processed it yet. It feels to me that he really has kind of repressed all of that and is instead much more concentrated on vengeance and writing the wrong and not really processing the emotional repercussion of it."
Charlie Hunnam went on to add that Jax’s is going to be a lot tougher this season:
"If he's going to survive, he's got to be every bit as bad or worse than all of the people around him. Jax was always so tortured by the pull of who he thought he should be. There's something really liberating about being rid of the sense of having to be a good guy. This season is about Jax deciding... if he's got no reason to leave [the outlaw world], he may as well be what this world demands you be."
Check out the Season 7 premiere of Son’s of Anarchy, tonight at 10:00 p.m. on FX.
