As we say goodbye to the warm weather and welcome the coming colds (I'm not talking about temperature), so comes the season of Christmas albums. The latest news comes from none other than a Jewish singer, Idina Menzel, and her forthcoming LP Holiday Wishes.
Menzel is currently performing on Broadway in the production If/Then, and with a Grammy nomination in the bag her new disc couldn't come at a more opportune time.
The album will feature Christmas classics such as "A Holly Jolly Christmas," "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas" and the wintry ballad "River" from Joni Mitchell.
And not-so-ironically, there will also be an original song, "December Prayer" featured on the album.
If you aren't in the know, Idina has been at the forefront of musical theatre stardom with her performance in Disney's Frozen. The hit song, "Let It Go" has been a covered across the board from mainstream princess Demi Lovato to Filipino talent contests.
So keep your ears to the ground for Menzel's Holiday Wishes set to drop on October 14. She is also expected to reprise her role as Elsa in the animated short Frozen Fever.
