"Toxic" former Disney diva, Britney Spears, sadly announced during one of her Pieces of Me Las Vegas shows that she had broken up with boyfriend David Lucado after he was reportedly caught cheating on tape cheating with another woman. Word has it, it was Spears father Jamie, her legal conservator, who hired the private investigators to spy on his daughters now ex-boyfriend/backup dancer. According to the latest gossip news updates, it seems that Papa Spears' good deed isn't going to go unpunished. Word has it that following the breakup, Britney is determined now more than ever to wrestle control of her reported $220 million net worth away from her father.
Britney Spears apparently doesn't have much of a problem letting people know that she and former boyfriend David Lucado broke up after she caught him cheating on her with another woman.
According to In Touch Weekly's September 15 coverage, Britney's father, Jamie, was the mastermind behind catching David in the act:
"He reportedly purchased the incriminating video of David, 28, cheating to save Britney, 32, the embarrassment had it gone public."
Although, Britney immediately dropped David, it seems that she is now ready to let her dad go as well.
With permission from the court, Jamie has been Spears' acting conservator since her very public mental break down back in 2008, but word has it Britney is more than ready to have her dad hand back over the keys to her little kingdom.
A supposed insider told Life and Style Magazine that Britney has convinced herself, at the very least, that she has everything it takes to run her life without any help:
"She complains all the time about how she feels like she lives in a bubble and just wants to break free.
"She feels like she's already proven that she's been healthy for a long time.
"Britney wants to take back the reins of her life and career...She's been working since she was a kid.
"And now she's ready to enjoy the money's she's made."
Looks like next time Jamie should just let Britney go on and get her heart broken.
