No one won this past weekend’s Mega Million games grand prize meaning that new totals have risen up once again. Just because the Mega Millions grand prize wasn’t claimed, doesn’t mean that the game hasn’t given away millions. A handful of second tier prize winners, walked away from the recent drawing with millions.
The new Mega Millions lottery totals for this week’s game, have reached $2 million.
The official Mega Millions lottery website is reporting on the the win of a recent $2 million prize:
“For the second straight drawing, there were three Mega Millions Match 5 second-tier winners, after tickets sold in Florida, Georgia and Massachusetts matched the five white balls in the September 5 draw: 7, 12, 20, 24 and 59. Without the Mega Ball of 7, they just missed the jackpot of $33 million.
“It was also the second drawing in a row to have a big Megaplier winner! The lucky Florida ticket-holder matching the five white balls chose to include the optional Megaplier for an extra $1, and was rewarded with a ticket worth a cool $2 million when the Megaplier drawn was 2. On September 2, an Arizona winner won a $3 million Match 5 prize.
“And in yet another coincidence, it was Florida’s second consecutive Match 5 winner, as a ticket sold in the Sunshine State won $1 million in the previous drawing on September 2.
“With no ticket matching all six numbers, the jackpot grows to $41 million for the September 9 draw.”
