Although it was announced only a few short weeks ago that America's Got Talent host, Nick Cannon, had split from his Instagram bikini feet model wife, Mariah Carey, word has it that their divorce is really heating up. According to the latest gossip news updates, the "Butterfly" singer is hell bound and determined to get a piece of that Wild N' Out net worth, regardless of what their prenupt says. Even worse--rumor has it that both camps are gearing up for an ugly child custody battle. It's being said that Cannon is genuinely scared about a nightly drunk Mariah's potential negligence, while his soon-to-be ex-wife wants to keep full custody of the kids to punish her wayward husband, whom she believes has been cheating for year.
After word went round that Nick Cannon had reportedly admitted that he and his wife were no longer living together a very angry Mariah Carey decided it was time to get serious (via E! News):
"Mariah has started the divorce process. She's getting all her ducks in a row.
"She won't be caught off-guard again...She was devastated when he spoke out about their issues.
"She's started the proceedings to make sure the ball is in her court from now on."
According to a supposed insider, who spoke with Star Magazine for their September 15, issue, Nick is prepared to do whatever it takes to make sure that he winds up with sole custody of their 3-year-old twins:
"Nick says that Mariah cares more about herself than tending to the children.
"She stays up all night drinking champagne, analyzing pictures of herself and obsessing over how she's aging--and then sleeps all day.
"When he's home, he's giving them baths, changing them, reading to them...He feels like it brings normalcy to their lives."
The informant goes on to claim that Nick may want Mariah's kids, but Carey want some of Cannon's money:
"She claims that marrying her allowed him more opportunities than he would have gotten before.
"But Nick says she's nuts...Mariah's used to getting what she wants, but Nick will fight her tooth and nail for that money."
Well...at least, they've got their priorities straight.
