After a whole lot of hype and speculation about who would be replacing fired hosts Jenny McCarthy and Sherri Shepherd after Barbara Walters retired from TV talk show, The View, this year, the final 2014 cast lineup has been announced by ABC. Rosie Perez and Nicole Wallace will be joining Rosie O'Donnell and vet Whoopi Goldberg on the panel. According to all the latest gossip news updates, however, the new gig hasn't been the blessing O'Donnell originally thought it would be. Word has it that O'Donnell's gay marriage to Michelle Rounds is near divorce, now that Rosie has split to go back to work leaving Rounds all alone to raise their little baby girl, Dakota.
Out with the old and in with the new, says ABC View executives, who after much speculation and rumor, have finally announced the official cast lineup for the revamped relaunch (via CNN):
"It'll be a brand-new View in less than two weeks, with three new co-hosts in a new studio and with a new boss behind the scenes.
"The long-running ABC talk show finalized its cast Wednesday, confirming that actress Rosie Perez and political analyst Nicolle Wallace will join Whoopi Goldberg and Rosie O'Donnell."
Executive producer of MSNBC, Bill Wolff, couldn't sound prouder or more pleased with the esteemed panel of comediennes, actresses and whatever the hell Nicole Wallace did before she got this gig:
"Each brings incredible perspective and information to the table. This mix of smart, vibrant and energetic women is unlike anything else on daytime television...powerful and accomplished women from different walks of life who have had amazing personal and professional experiences."
Unfortunately, for Rosie O'Donnell, however, signing on for the show is already reportedly taking an unforeseen toll on her marriage to Michelle Rounds.
A supposed insider claimed in Star Magazine's September 8, issue that Rounds is fuming at the prospect of raising a baby all by herself while her wife is working in NYC:
"Rosie is trying to convince Michelle that everything is OK, but it's not like she'll be around to offer much support."
Well...something has got to pay for little Dakota to go to college, and maybe a war of the Rosies is just the thing to do it.
