It's official--Instagram feet model Taylor Swift is taking a break from dating and boyfriends altogether. THe 'Red' singers claims that all she needs is her work and a couple of good friends to get by, but apparently Lena Dunham is good for neither. According to the latest gossip news updates, fellow New Yorker, Lena Dunham didn't have to fire the country music star from her HBO show, Girls, only because she refused to fire her in the first place. Rumor has it the Lena thinks Taye-Taye should stick to singing and restrict any acting to her music videos. No worries though--reports have already started to surface the Taylor Swift may just join the Voice as a full-time mentor instead.
If you have noticed that Taylor Swift hasn't really been seen with a new boyfriend on her arm in ages that is because she has admittedly sworn off men all together.
During a recent interview with The Guardian, Swift claimed that a life without men was the key to happiness (via Christian Post):
"It just doesn't seem like a possibility in the near future. It doesn't ever work.
"What works is having incredible girlfriends who I can trust and tell everything."
According to a supposed insider who spoke to OK! Magazine for their September 15, issue, dealing only with women isn't necessarily the ticket to getting everything you want, as Swift found out after reportedly asking Lena Dunham for a part on Girls:
"She loves Taylor, but after seeing her in Valentine's Day and The Giver, she thinks she should stick to singing."
Word has it that that wasn't Swift's only plan to become a permanent fixture on American television.
The honest folks over at Hollywood Life got word from one source that swears that Taylor is not only going to be advising on the Voice, she is in talks to get her own spinning chair:
"Taylor is definitely an advisor on the show this year...[and] In a future season of the show, the producers are talking to her to become an actual judge on the show when any of the other judges need to take time off.
"It is all on the table!"
Now all that is left to do is pen that perfect Lena Dunham breakup song and perhaps swear off anyone that has ever worked for HBO, forever.
