Johnny Football continues to excel in the national spotlight. Despite being relegated to second string to start the NFL season, he's off to a good start in the endorsement game. Going by the alias "Johnny JamBoogie", the rookie quarterback poses as an aerobics instructor in Snicker's latest "You're not you when you're hungry" ad campaign. The commercial sees Manziel thrust his pelvis and gyrate in spandex and sweatbands.
It's a great spot, and might strike the first blow for peace in the media's bloodthirsty witch hunt of the brash young QB.
There's something endearing about an athlete who's willing to make himself look silly (via USA Today):
"One has the feeling that 'who has a pelvis' will be a common catcall at Browns games this year."
Manziel obviously likes the perks of fame. But he still has to prove himself on the field. Just as long as he's got a Snicker's Bar nearby, that shouldn't be a problem (via New York Daily News):
"It was a thrill to star in my own 'You're Not You When You're Hungry' commercial... I hope people have as much fun watching the ad as we did filming it."
