Tonight TNT’s Franklin and Bash is all new. This episode comes just a few days after Lifetime aired the premire of the Unauthorzed Saved By The Bell Movie. The movie and the book it is partial based on, Behind the Bell by Dustin Diamond, has sparked a feud between Mark-Paul Gosselaar's new sidekick, Breckin Meyer and Skreech.
The official plot synopsis for tonight’s all new episode of Franklin and Bash, titled “Good Cop/Bad Cop," reads:
“The guys tangle with a corrupt cop while helping a client take back his property from an avaricious land developer. Elsewhere, Infeld has a business showdown against his nephew, who's now at a rival firm.”
The Unauthorized Saved By Bell Lifetime movie aired this past Monday. Breckin Meyer, recently sat down with The Huffington Post, where he had a few words to say about his current co-star, Mark-Paul Gosselaar’s old side-kick Dustin Diamond:
"I don't know Dustin at all, but ... the Dustin Diamond thing is just so silly. It's just so negative and it always bums me out."
Diamond later responded to Breckin’s comments, telling The Daily Beast:
“Here’s the thing, Breckin Meyer was the one really going at it. Mark-Paul gave the trained response we learned together at NBC when we were kids. He did the professional ‘Don’t say anything too bad’ and just keep it to ‘I don’t remember anything but the good times from that.’ Safe answers. Breckin Meyer was the one who went more off the handle. A lot of people do that for ratings--I don’t know what his reason was for. But he even said, ‘I’ve never met Dustin.’ So how can he say these things when he’s never met me? We’ve never shared a conversation, we’ve never met face to face. We’ve never been in the same room. That makes me judge someone, personally.”
