Brazilian Indy Car driver Helio Castroneves could not possibly be more charming than when he calls NASCAR drivers fat. Though he may say arrogant, cocky things, Castroneves lights up a room when he rags on his stock car rivals for having "beer bellies". Big talk from a consistent second place winner. Just kidding, Helio. We love your insults. You say those things out of love, right?
After a costly pit entry violation which resulted in him losing seven positions, Castroneves eventually came in second place in Saturday's MAVTV 500 (via USA Today):
"I was pushing extremely hard. I knew the only way to get in front was through the pits. ... I got a drive-through. My bad guys. Sorry."
But at least he's got his good looks, right?
Castroneves said Indy Car drivers have to be slim because they and their cars need to be as light as possible to increase speed.
And then he throws his stock car brethren under the bus like the guy from the Ricky Bobby movie (via TMZ):
"Helio is hilarious ... and picks a Talladega Nights style feud with NASCAR ...starting with their 'beer bellies.'"
