Just a few days after pleading no contest to slipping a women ecstasy and charged with felony furnishing a controlled substance, Cee Lo Green went off and possibly killed his career, with a string of bizarre tweets about rape. The Voice coach and “F**K You” singer has apologized for his strange comments, and deleted his Twitter, but the screenshots have been saved and the damage is done.
Cee Lo Green was already in hot water with the public for allegedly drugging a woman with ecstasy without her consent. Cee Lo recently, plead no contest to the felony charge, but still maintains his innocence, leading him to make some pretty controversial comments on twitter, like:
"When someone brakes on a home there is broken glass. Where is your plausible proof anyone was raped?"
"Women who have really been raped REMEMBER!!!" he added.
"If someone is passed out they're not even WITH you consciously! so WITH implies consent."
After the bizarre and possible Career threatening string of tweets, Cee Lo deleted his Twitter account, but only after posting an apology of sorts, writing:
“I sincerely apologize for my comments being taken so far out of context. I only intended on a healthy exchange to help heal those who love me from the pain I had already caused from this. Please forgive me as it was your support that got me thru this to begin with. I’d never condone the harm of any women. Thank you.”
