Stephen A. Smith isn't really a good dude. He has made a consistent practice of victim blaming in high-profile abuse cases, and he often speaks with no filter. People say that's what he's paid to do, but he does it in a way that highlights his cruelty and misogynistic views. Coming back from a week-long suspension for comments about the Ray Rice news cycle, he seems back to his old self, laughing at, mocking and insulting his colleague Skip Bayless. He did recently speak with some wisdom, however, taking on Sean Hannity about the shooting in Ferguson.
In a recent segment on First Take, Smith laughed maniacally for over 2 minutes at the losing efforts of the Chicago Bears and his partner Skip Bayless (via Sports Grid):
"It was borderline weird how many insults Smith threw into this one, and he could barely speak by the end of it."
However, Smith does seem to be the lesser of two evils, even the voice of reason, at the table with Sean Hannity (via The Big Lead):
"'But what I'm saying to you is that you're not a black person with that history in Ferguson, and it's hard to fathom that it takes six bullets to stop somebody,' Smith responded. 'Which is why you see people in an uproar, because they find that hard to believe.'"
