Rumors and speculation about things that at least seem realistic is bad enough, but when information is seemingly pulled out of nowhere? Sounds more like lies and hoaxes. Since CM Punk quit the WWE, the retired Superstar's status was altered a great deal, but a recent article claimed the WWE Network might go so far as to scrub him out like they did Chris Benoit. If Punk heard that story, he would probably Tweet sweet nothings about it with a gleam in his eye.
It's no secret that Punk's involvement with WWE has been contentious from the start, as evidenced by Paul Heyman's description of Punk's salad days with the company (via Christian Times):
"When I was in Louisville, doing WWE Developmental, they sent CM Punk down to me so I could fire him."
But how do you go from that to two-time World Champion to this? There are still about 1300 featured videos of CM Punk on WWE Network, by the way (via Breathe Cast):
"... Many believe that the sports entertainment company will go ahead and erase him from the record books, like they did with Chris Benoit."
