Kevin Love seems to be a mirror. People see in him whatever it is they think about. Obviously a lot of people have the Miami Heat on their mind because sports insiders are seeing shades of former Heat players LeBron James and Chris Bosh in the young Cleveland transplant. Either he is like King James in that he may find instant success with LeBron and the Cavs before returning to the T-Wolves after they've re-built, or he is trading places with Chris Bosh in that he will be an unappreciated role player with big shoulders.
Minnesota Timberwolves owner Glen Taylor thinks Love will have a thankless role on the Cavs, being expected to produce while toiling in obscurity behind James and Kyrie Irving (via Fan Sided):
"I don't think he'll get a lot of credit if they do really well. I think he'll get the blame if they don't do well. He'll have to learn to handle that. He's around a couple guys who are awful good."
Meanwhile, veteran Chris Bosh may once again get a chance to shine in Houston, now that he is not being forced to play third fiddle behind James and D-Wade (via Sun Sentinel):
The NBA is an interesting league that offers plot twists no fan could see coming and has no shortage of ironies. To think Kevin Love may pull the leave-win-return strategy LeBron James did with Cleveland is why truth is stranger than fiction.
