After FBI Insider Trading Accusations, Investigations, PGA Golf Star Phil Mickelson Unhappy With Tour Schedule?

PGA veteran Phil Mickelson thinks he's in for a crappy month after a non-stop summer on the PGA Tour. He's peeved because he's in sort of a catch 22. He won't skip the upcoming Fed Ex Cup events because they are very important revenue streams for the PGA. But he's unhappy with the scheduling because he says everyone's burnt out and won't have time to rest before the Ryder Cup. That's almost as stressful as being investigated by the FBI after accusations of insider trading. Just ask Phil.

Of the jam-packed Fed-Ex Cup, he says it's not really kosher to miss the event because they're such big money-makers for the PGA (via Fox Sports):

"I'm in a bit of predicament, and the predicament is this. The tour does not own their four or five largest revenue-producing events. We don't own the majors or the Ryder Cup."

Mickelson adds (via SB Nation):

"The FedEx Cup is really our flagship event. As a player that has received so much from the PGA Tour, there's an obligation there to support the FedEx Cup. So I want to play and I want to be there."
