Even though it would make the day of thousands of their tween fans everywhere, Divergent stars Shailene Woodley and Theo James are not dating and never have been. Before the Underworld action beef-cake could ever think of getting romantic with Tris offstage, he'd first have to breakup with his long-time girlfriend, Ruth Kearney--like Ansel Elgort just did. Shai's Fault of Our Stars boyfriend reportedly split with his high school sweetheart, Violetta Koymshan. Don't worry about Ansolo, the actor's DJ moniker, though, he seemed in his usual high spirits in his Beyoncé inspired "Single Ladies" Vine video spoof. Perhaps, Elgort was just getting rid of one girlfriend, so he could pick up a new while working on Insurgent.
Divergent star Ansel Elgort may have broken up with his girlfriend, Violetta Komyshan, but he doesn't look like it is much getting him down.
According to an insider, who spoke with Us Magazine, Ansel and Violetta didn't part ways after some epic fight or anything--the romance just fizzled due to strenuous scheduling restriction:
"They tried to navigate his commitments, but between filming and press for the movies [it got difficult]."
Ansel seems like the breakup definitely suits him, as he jumps around and sings in his new Beyoncé inspired Vine posted earlier this week.
Even better than having extra time to make silly-ass videos for the internet, Elgort will be able to focus even more attention to his role in the Insurgent sequel.
Ansel could, no doubt, use a few more free minutes now that he has triple the lines and screen time to prepare for; he told Christian Today that you could expect to see a whole lot more of him in Insurgent:
"Caleb gets a little darker. The relationship between Caleb and Beatrice, you know, they butt heads a little bit. It is an interesting movie.
"I shoot three times as many days in this movie (as I did in Divergent), so I will be around a lot more."
Worst of all for Komyshan...now Violetta's probably never going to get to meet Theo James.
