WWE wrestling has been on fire since June's Money In The Bank. The nationalistic feud between Rusev and the Real American Jack Swagger has been hot all summer, but like all things, it must eventually end. Rusev already seems to be lining up against Mark Henry, though it's not clear if that will have long-term impact or if it's just a place holder. Jack Swagger, on the other hand, is poised to feud with Bo Dallas, wherein he will have the chance to redeem himself for "letting the American people down."
Rusev's size and power may keep him around, even if real-life politics have put a damper on his gimmick (via Give Me Sport):
"For Rusev to remain a big threat in the WWE; he needs to lose to an opponent which will still allow Rusev to look very strong; it cannot be just any superstar who will probably fall down the ranks after such a big victory."
While Swagger has been getting buried lately, his seemingly imminent downfall may just be a Cena-esque redemption story in the making, culminating with him going over with Bo Dallas, and then Rusev (via Bleacher Report):
"Swagger as a babyface is a great idea, especially seeing how his six years as a heel in the WWE receives an overall negative grade. It is new, fresh and did not take long at all for the fans to be on board."
