Tiger Woods has fired his coach of four years after a rocky summer. Sean Foley was dismissed last week just as Tiger was announcing that he'd be taking another break until the World Challenge in December. The golf great had already been out for several months after having back surgery. Though he says he's pain-free now, Woods has struggled to reboot his game. So while he takes another holiday to focus on health and family, perhaps Tiger can find the spark that he's been missing.
It seems Tiger's taking another break. Until December. With that, he let his coach go (via New York Times):
"With my next tournament not until my World Challenge event at Isleworth in Orlando, this is the right time to end our professional relationship,"
Instead of replacing newly departed instructor Sean Foley, some golf experts think he should just ride solo for a while (via Fox Sports):
"To me, he'd just be better off just doing it himself. That's my opinion. Because he's the only one that he listens to anyways 100 percent. I mean, are we sure he was listening to Sean Foley? Who knows? We don't know that."
