Hélène Grimaud and Jan Vogler to Livestream Exclusive Recital to Benefit Wolf Conservation

Pianist Hélène Grimaud and cellist Jan Vogler will perform a benefit recital for the Wolf Conservation Center (WCC) in South Salem, N.Y. on Thursday.

The exclusive recital by the world-renowned French pianist, also known as a wolf advocate, and her friend and famed cellist will be livestreamed for the benefit of these beautiful animals.

"My two passions are music and conservation - specifically wolf conservation," said Grimaud.

"For me, wolf conservation is really about a healthy ecosystem, and that's a worldwide concern. It's universal. Just like music. Music is a universal language, it's not confined to one region, one way of understanding. That's why it is so important to me that we reach out and make this concert, and the opportunity to help, accessible to people around the world," she commented.

The unique concert will begin at 7:30 pm EDT with an appearance of Atka the wolf, WCC's popular ambassador, and feature selections from Schumann, Brahms, Debussy and Shostakovich.

Founded in 1999 by Grimaud, who has famously studied and raised wolves offstage, WCC is committed to conservation, education and species survival.
