Is NBA League MVP leaving the Oklahoma Thunder for greener pastures? Not in the foreseeable future. Durant becomes a free agent in 2016, and there are rumors and speculation that he will want to move on at that time. Will he go to the Miami Heat, The Lakers or his hometown Wizards in Washington, D.C.? Or will he stay in OKC? The only thing that seems certain about Durant's career right now, is that he has put acting in the past.
TMZ recently caught up with the always dapper Durant and asked him about his 2012 cinematic disaster Thunderstruck. Durant reportedly bristled at the mention of the film, since it was such a huge flop (via Bleacher Report):
[According to writer Dan Carson] "I think it's best if we all just bury Thunderstruck deep down next to purple ketchup and never bring it up again. We can look back at O'Neal showering in it and laugh, but there's nothing redeeming about this movie. Just sadness and a hard lesson learned."
Since he won't be quitting his day job soon, fans and critics might be wondering where he might be doing that job once he becomes a free agent.
There are rumors that Durant may jump ship, but there is no way to know for sure since that day is two years away. Surely even Durant himself doesn't know what the future holds (via Fan Sided):
"Obviously it is way to early to tell what Durant is going to do, but clearly the way the Thunder perform over the next two years will greatly impact what Durant decides to do. Plus, he is admittedly intrigued with the possibility of returning to his hometown to play for the Wizards."
