Good news for fans of White Collar's Matt Bomer. The openly gay actor is joining the cast of American Horror Story, for it’s fourth season, Freak Show. Bomer previously worked with American Horror Story creator Ryan Murphy in his adaptation of the play The Normal Heart. The made for TV, HBO movie was nominated for an impressive 16 Emmy awards, winning two.
Matt Bomer is a real freak...Or at least he will be now that he is in league with Ryan Murphy. Ryan Murphy has enlisted Bomer to join the cast of the new season of American Horror Story.
Bomer’s role on the series will reportedly be for only one episode. Ryan Murphy recently opened up to Entertainment Weekly about bringing Matt Bomer on board:
“I try to get him to do everything for me. sent him a text that said, ‘First right of refusal, here’s the role.’ It’s very…warped.”
Bomer is best known for his role on USA’s White Collar. The show recently wrapped filming its final episode. Bomer Tweeted his goodbyes to the series, writing:
“Last day at White Collar- I love this family so much. Thank you to everyone who supported us over the years-we wouldn't be here without you!”
