Barbara Walters was recently hospitalized on Saturday, January 19th, 2013 after a fall that left a cut on her forehead, Fox News reported. The ABC newswoman was attending an inauguration party at Britain ambassador Peter Westmacott's home when the fall occurred.
The injury is not very serious and the 83 year old is excepted to recover fairly quickly.
According to ABC News senior vice president Jeffrey W. Scheneider, "Out of an abundance of caution, she went to the hospital to have her cut tended to, have a full examination and remains there for observation." He continued to Politico, "Barbara is alert (and telling everyone what to do), which we all take as a very positive sign."
