Bray Wyatt Chris Jericho Blood Match At SummerSlam Great Storyline While Windham Rotunda Improves [OPINION]

Bray Wyatt and Chris Jericho finally had the match everyone knew they could have last Sunday at SummerSlam. Their Blood Feud has been simmering for quite some time, but their in-ring performance has been a little sub-par until their most recent clash. Critics of Wyatts's unorthodox style may be repulsed by his ring work, but to the true believer it's easy to see that he's just green. The wrestler born Windham Rotunda has already proven that he can carry a great storyline, but he is improving in the ring with every match. Detractors will likely always be critical of his ability to work a match, but when he gains enough stamina, the Eater of Worlds will be well on his way to becoming one of the all-time greats.

Chris Jericho has nothing left to prove in WWE. He is destined for the Hall of Fame, and deservedly so. It is a true testament, then, that he keeps coming back. With so many different projects going on, it would be easy for Jericho to simply rest on his wrestling laurels, but he is gracious enough to come back time after time because he has an unparalleled passion for the business.

One of the most valuable things Jericho has to offer is his experience. As a mentor, Y2J can impart so much wisdom to the newer wrestlers like Bray Wyatt. Though he is cut from a totally different cloth, Wyatt can make so much of their time together if he wanted to. He has a lot to learn, and what better way to learn than on the job with a six-time World Heavyweight Champion.

When Jericho leaves this fall, he will not only have had yet another great run in WWE, but he will also have done his part to pass the torch, so to speak. As much as the biz has changed in the last 20 years, there are some things that never change, and as long as there are Superstars like Chris Jericho, that tradition will remain intact.
