The delicate bass-crooner Leonard Cohen shows he can still keep up with the times--as news of his thirteenth album Popular Problems hit the interwaves. The disc will drop September 23.
The nine-song album will feature brand new songs, including his latest gravelly single release, "Almost Like the Blues," currently out for streaming.
And just as it is with the current status of music, details of the release were leaked at a fan-gathering before anything could be confirmed by Cohen (it seems nothing stays in bed anymore).
But, lucky for us, Spin got some of the details and threw up the album's track list and cover art, plus a nice little bit of noir pleasure.
Along with the release, the legendary Canadian poet and songwriter will turn 80 just days before the release on September 21. His previous release, Old Ideas, was released in 2012.
Tracks include:
1. "Slow"
2. "Almost Like The Blues"
3. "Samson In New Orleans"
4. "A Street"
5. "Did I Ever Love You"
6. "My Oh My"
7. "Nevermind"
8. "Born In Chains"
9. "You Got Me Singing"
