Cheating Daniel Bryan RAW Appearance After Stephanie McMahon Defeated Brie Bella At SummerSlam?

Fans comprising the WWE Universe got incredibly excited when they heard the opening strains of Daniel Bryan's entrance music to start Raw off tonight. They were sorely disappointed when principal owner Stephanie McMahon emerged instead. Steph was out to gloat over her win at Sunday's SummerSlam (as well as to recap the annual Pay-Per-View and shill for the WWE Network- which is just $9.99 by the way!!!) The spawn of Vince McMahon defeated Bryan's wife after Brie Bella's sister Nikki turned on her sister. Nikki's appearance at Steph's side tonight at RAW, as well as Steph's accusations of Daniel Bryan cheating, suggests a long-term feud in the works between the Bella Twins.

After a fine match between Brie and Stephanie McMahon last night at SummerSlam, Nikki came out and turned on her sister, giving Steph the victory. Some friends complained that the match was too technical for a blood feud, which was a valid complaint, given their storyline. However, I liked seeing Stephanie actually wrestle. She looked good in her first match in over a decade.

Tonight, however, it was slightly disappointing to see Creative continue to push the "Daniel Bryan cheating" angle. Not only does nobody buy it, many of the more sensitive fans are actually offended by the writing. Even Daniel Bryan reportedly doesn't like it (via Cage Side Seats):

"Yeah, to me, it's groan-worthy. I don't think it added anything to the story. It was just like, 'Ugh!' But, you know, they do what they do, and you just gotta roll with the punches."

Bottom line folks: if you're not watching weekly WWE programming, you're missing the details. Monday night RAW airs live at 8:00p.m. on the USA Network (check your local listings.)

Or better yet, get the WWE Network, so the Authority can stop talking about it on air.
