Seth MacFarlane ‘Family Guy’ Robin Williams Episode Airs On BBC As Suicide News Breaks [VIDEO]

Seth MacFarlane’s hit Fox comedy, Family Guy is know for taking a few playful (and some not so playful) jabs at celebrities. One episode in particular, features Peter Griffin gaining to power to turn everyone he touches into a character that Robin Williams has played. The episode even features Peter Griffin trying to commit suicide. However, it is poor timing that is the biggest offense from this episode. The episode re-aired on the BBC at the same time that news of Williams suicide broke.

Following the news of the loss, countless celebrity tributes to Robin Williams came out on Twitter. One of them was Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane, who tweeted:

“The world just got a lot less funny. Robin Williams is a tragic loss.”

No one could of predicted the poor timing of the re-airing of the Robin Williams themed 2012 episode, titled “Viewer Mail #2.”

It has been well publicized that Robin Williams struggled with depression and addiction. However, it was recently revealed that the legendary actor suffered from Parkinson's disease. In a public statement, Susan Schneider, revealed her husbands disease:

“Robin's sobriety was intact and he was brave as he struggled with his own battles of depression, anxiety as well as early stages of Parkinson's Disease, which he was not yet ready to share publicly.”
