Dr. Who vet Tom Ellis new USA series Rush is all new tonight. . Check out the new episode preview for spoilers about tonight's new episode.
The official plot synopsis for tonight’s all new episode, titled “We are Family,” Reads:
“Rush's lunch with his stepmother leads to an unexpected outcome while Alex's marriage becomes further strained due to his relationship with Rush. Elsewhere, Rush helps a bail officer, and Eve accepts a date.”
Tom Ellis stars in the new show as Dr. William P. Rush, a drug abusing doctor with a dark side. Recently,. Ellis also spoke to TV Guide about the show, adding:
"This guy likes to live vicariously through himself. He enjoys the taking of the drugs, he enjoys the multiple women, he enjoys the finer things in life. At the heart of it all, this is a guy who has made decisions to be the person he is and live the life that he has, but he's still a good guy. He's just made some, or continues to make, bad choices…He's a flawed character, but not because he takes drugs. He's flawed and he takes drugs."
The new series has been compared to USA’s other, out of the hospital, medical drama, Royal Pains.
Recently Rush Executive Producer Craig Wright opened up to Bustle about the comparisons:
“We would never want to be accused of copying [Royal Pains]. Rush is on a much different personal journey than Hank, and as is the family of characters around him. I’d say that everyone on Rush has a few more skeletons in their closet, and definitely has on a week-to-week basis an unfolding story that’s drawing them deeper and deeper to their own demons in a way that will differentiate the show quite clearly.”
