From band's like Dragonforce who can fashion Pac Man sounds on their guitars to someone like JacobTV who has his own brand of playing entirely, a viral video has surfaced on the Tube of a Japanese guitarist transposing a crying politician to his electric 6-string.
A politician sobbing over corruption claims has been quote unquote "satirized" on an electric guitar (and right when you thought you've heard just about everything).
The protagonist of this performance: Ryutaro Nonomura, a provincial Japanese politician who resigned earlier this summer in light of an expenses scandal. Pounding fists, tears trickling down his cheeks, Nonomura became an Internet sensation with an almost calculated performance to show his disdain for the allegations.
Per Channel News Asia, Nonmura is suspected of using 3 million yen (roughly $30,000 dollars) of official allowances for political activities. These include travel expenses on 195 trips in one year, including 106 visits to a hot spring resort, which he failed to produce a receipt for.
Whatever the case might be, the video has surfaced and Nonomura is now the subject of serious ridicule and laughter.
Viral it is, and thus it is something that is quite difficult to pull yourself away from.
Give it a shot, and see how long you can keep the laughter in.
