Looks like Thor is getting over his brother Loki’s “death,” pretty nicely. Ole Odinson has found an all new menace to thwart in Avengers 2: Age of Ultron. During Comic-Con 2014, Chris Hemsworth opened up about James Spader in his new role as the next Marvel villain, Ultron. Hemsworth isn’t the only praising Spader. Director/Writer Joss Whedon recently praised the Blacklist star at the expense of Tom Hiddleston.
Avengers 2: Age of Ultron will mark the first time Chris Hemsworth has played Thor without the help Tom Hiddleston as Loki. However, Hemsworth seems pretty confident that James Spader fill Hiddleston’s shoes quite nicely. During San Diego Comic-Con 2014, Chris Hemsworth spoke to MTV about how Spader is shaping up:
“It’s awesome. Someone new brings a whole different dynamic to it. He’s just so smart, and so impressive, and kind of unsettling as this character. All of us were standing on set and watching him do his scene the first day and started applauding at the end of it because it was so good. It’s amazing.”

Previsioly Empire, spoke to Avengers writer/director, Joss Whedon about the new movie’s villain, who said:
"I'm having a blast with Ultron. He's not a creature of logic--he's a robot who's genuinely disturbed. We're finding out what makes him menacing and at the same time endearing and funny and strange and unexpected, and everything a robot never is."
Wheldon added that they needed to extended cast extend in order to handle all that Spader has to offer:
"I fiercely dislike the idea of just throwing in more people for the sake of doing that. But last time I had all of Earth's Mightiest Heroes versus one British character actor, [Tom Hiddleston] and I needed more conflict."
