Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy is out in theaters and that means that Avengers 2: Age of Ultron is the next big release from the Disney owned Marvel. Recently, Snowpiercer star Chris Evans spoke about his role as Captain America in the 2015’s Avengers sequel. He has also announced recently that he's not retiring from acting.
During a recent interview with Comicbook.com, Chris Evans opened up about the upcoming film:
“We start out as a team. The first movie, you have to establish the kid of team dynamic but with this movie we get to hit the ground running. We're already a group, we're already a team dynamic and [Ultron] throws a bit of a wrench in the works.”
He also went on to talk about Cap’s role in the new movie:
“He is a soldier, so he does look for a higher structure, you know? A chain of command. And now that S.H.I.E.L.D. is disbanded, The Avengers are leaning on one another without a boss to report to. So he is looking for a sense of home in a way...I can't give anymore. If I give anymore, I'm going to get in trouble!”
Earlier in the year, Evans shocked fans when seemed to announce that he was quitting acting, telling Variety:
“If I’m acting at all, it’s going to be under Marvel contract, or I’m going to be directing. I can’t see myself pursuing acting strictly outside of what I’m contractually obligated to do.”
However, Evans has since clarified his statement on ABC’s Good Morning America:
"I said I directed last year and I really responded to it; I really enjoyed it and I'd love to focus a little more on that... By no means am I planning on retiring. It's kind of a silly statement."
