‘Fast and Furious 7’ Cast Update: Paul Walker Autopsy Alive After Crash RUMORS; Vin Diesel Breaks Down? [VIDEO]

It certainly isn't easy on anyone when someone close to you passes away, but it was especially painful for Fast and Furious 7 star Vin Diesel mourning a friend, all the while pretending they're still alive at work. The Riddick action star nearly broke down while recently appearing on Live with Kelly and Michael, when the subject of Paul Walkers' tragic death came up. Diesel explained--with some difficulty--that he had grown up in the business with Paul, whose autopsy update revealed Walker was still alive immediately after the car crash. Dealing with his departure was one of the most difficult things Diesel has ever done.

There were rumors that Vin Diesel was having problems on the set of Fast and Furious during the entire return to production, though the studio was always quick to dismiss any such claims.

During his recent chat with Michael Strahan and Kelly Ripa on their morning talk show Live with Kelly and Michael!, Vin did admit that he had a terrible time trying to come to terms with what was being asked of him by Universal.

Diesel explained that he had never even considered the possibility of having to pretend that his deceased friend was still on-set acting with him, when he got into acting a lifetime ago (via Huffington Post):

"It's a heavy thing, Michael. You know?...Yeah guys, you know it's a rough one. You all had people you love that passed away.

"I grew up in the bouncer world, and we lost people while we were bouncing. But the brotherhood in Paul Walker was something completely different. "

"It was someone that, we...we grew up in the business together, and we became famous together, and we represented the biggest franchise together.

"He was my partner, and it's a strange thing to...I've been acting all my life and they don't teach you in acting, how to mourn someone and simultaneously pretend they're in a scene with you."

Not the most eloquently delivered lament, but Diesel definitely got the emotional tone just right.
