Anna Camp Talks ‘True Blood’ and ‘Mad Men’ Finales & Sarah Newlin Hook Up with Don Draper Jon Hamm [SPOILERS]

True Blood is about to end it’s seventh and final season, but they are not alone. AMC’s Mad Men is also calling it quits after the Season 7. Anna Camp has had parts on both shows. Now Camp is opening up about her thoughts on how the shows should end as well what it would be like if True Blood’s Sarah Newlin, hooked up with Mad Men’s Don Draper (Jon Hamm).

Anna Camp has been a cast member on both True Blood, and Mad Men, which will both ending their runs in the seventh season. Camp recently spoke with Vulture about her hopes for both show:

“I can't believe it's the end of an era. And everyone's expectations are so high for both of these amazing shows, and I know audiences want so many different things. I like shows when they're kind of left open-ended. I hope that both shows sort of leave us wanting more, leave us with Sookie not knowing her future, and Don Draper not knowing what's going to happen, but having them both learn about love. They don't necessarily need to find love, but I feel like they need to learn about loving.”

Camp, who played Don Draper’s one time (brief) love interest on Mad Men, was asked if she thought Sarah Newlin would be a good match for Drapper:

“I'm excited to see what happens, though. I'm sure there are a lot of actresses out there who would have killed to play the new Mrs., another new Mrs. Draper, but Sarah Newlin might have gotten bored with Don, to be honest! I don't know. He's changing, and he's not drinking as much anymore, but I think she needs someone who is definitely striving for power all the time, or enlightenment, or whatever it may be. And he's kind of stuck in this place where he has a lack of ambition, at least this last season, and Sarah needs somebody who is super ambitious.”
