HBO ‘True Blood’ Final Four Episodes: Sarah Newlin Anna Camp Talks Hep-V Cure and ‘Pitch Perfect 2’ [SPOILERS]

HBO’s hit soap-drama True Blood is all new tonight, kicking off the final four episodes of its last season. Check out the preview below for spoilers. Last week we learned that Sarah Newlin was the cure to Hep-V. Now actress Anna Camp is opening up about Sarah Newlin’s actions, as well her role in the upcoming film Pitch Perfect 2:

The official plot synopsis for the all new episode, titled “May Be the Last Time," reads:

“Sookie looks for a miracle; Eric, Pam and Mr. Gus zero in on Sarah Newlin in Dallas; Adilyn and Wade seek protection from Violet and a temporary haven from their meddling parents; Bill recalls the events that preceded his marriage in the 19th century; Sam finds himself in a bind.”

Last week we learned that Sarah Newlin was a living cure for Hep-V. Recently, Anna Camp spoke with Vulture about drinking the cure:

“As an actor, I can play it one of two ways: I’m either trying to save my own ass by doing this, which is an interesting way, or the really psychotic way is, I truly believe now that I am here now to save this world. And ultimately, maybe Sarah’s subconscious is definitely trying to save her own ass, but the way you play it is completely one-hundred percent, full-on, ‘I'm here for the good of God. I'm here for the good of the world.’

“But I think in that moment when she's deciding, when she drinks the cure, I don't think she's even realizing what she's doing. I think she realizes after, when she goes to this Buddhist retreat, something dawns on her. I don't even know if she was planning on telling people. I don't think she's that smart, or that manipulative. I think when she goes to the retreat, she realizes these things, and then she starts to believe that God has this master plan for her, because ultimately, she still believes that God or the Buddha or whoever, this higher power, has called on her. She believes someone made her drink it. God gave her the idea to drink it, so now she's this vessel of love and light. She thinks she's here to save her sister and humankind, just like Jesus Christ. It's really messed up! [Laughs.] She's completely psychotic.”

Weather or not Sarah Newlin lives or dies, Camp has a bright future ahead of her. She previously starred in the hit comedy Pitch Perfect:

She also opened up about the filming of Pitch Perfect 2:

“I just wrapped that last week! Aubrey's graduated school, and it's like three years later, so all the people who were freshman in the last movie are now seniors. And I do play a little bit of a pivotal role in the movie, and it's pretty funny what I'm up to, so I think people are going to love it. It's going to be just as much fun as the first one.”

Tune into the all new episode of True Blood tonight at 9:00 p.m. on HBO.
