Famed NBA baller Kareem Abdul-Jabaar says Julien's Auction House is holding his stuff hostage, including a movie poster of Game of Death, the film he did with Bruce Lee, and a custom snowboard which has sentimental value to the former Laker. Their legal war began when Jabaar decided he didn't want to part with certain items.
The baller-formerly-known-as Lew Alcindor is alleging that Julien's has his stuff after a deal for them to sell those items fell through (via TMZ):
"A legal war ensued -- and Kareem's LLC admits Julien's was awarded monetary damages -- but claims the auction house is holding his property 'hostage' until they get paid."
Apparently, Kareem backed out when he realized he still had an attachment to his things. The auction house were reportedly none too pleased (via Yahoo Sports):
"Understandably, Julien's Auction House wants to sell this bonanza of awesome, because any snowboarder worth his salt would up the ante for a Lew Alcindor alpine board."
