The age of the vampires and zombies is almost dead and gone. The age of the jungle is upon us. Tarzan will soon be swinging into theaters with True Blood’s Alexander Skarsgard in the titular role. A King Kong prequel is also currently in development, taking us to back to Skull Island. There is also the little matter of the star-studded live-action version of the classic Jungle Book. The upcoming film stars Thor and Pacific Rim’s Idris Elba, Avengers 2 and Lucy’s Scarlett Johansson, Iron Man 3’s Ben Kingsley, 12 Years a Slave’s Lupita Nyong’o and Peter Pan’s Christopher Walken. Now another amazing name has been added to the casting list. Ghostbusters star Bill Murray has been cast as the voice of the lovable Baloo the bear.
Forget about your worries and your strife, because Bill Murray has been cast the voice of Baloo the bear in Disney’s upcoming live-action film version of The Jungle Book. Lets all hold out hope for a version of Murray belting out the “Bear Necessities” of life.
Iron Man director Jon Favreau will helm the project, with Idris Elba voicing Shere Khan, Christopher Walken as King Louie, Lupita Nyong’o as Raksha, Ben Kingsley as Bagheera and Scarlett Johansson as Kaa.
