Rival cornerbacks Richard Sherman and Patrick Peterson revived their Twitter beef this week, albeit briefly. Patrick Peterson announced his new contract valued at up to $70 million over 5 years and Sherman reminded Peterson of some choice stats via social media. He also kind of ended things with a shot of his Super Bowl ring. But surely this saga has many more chapters.
After Peterson's announcement on Twitter, Sherman lured him back into the feud they sparked in May (via Sports Illustrated):
"Richard Sherman and Patrick Peterson combined to allow 8 touchdown passes in 2013. Peterson gave up seven of those."
To which Peterson responded:
"Yu mad bro!!!! LMAO"
But Sherman, posting a photo of his diamond-encrusted Super Bowl ring, countered:
"Can't ever be too mad lmao..."
Check mate.
Peterson, however, finds it friendly and fun. At least that's what he says to the press (via Bleacher Report):
"I don't how he feels about it, but I think it's fun, healthy competition. I'm having fun with it, sometimes it seems like he's a little salty with it."
