Former American Idol winner Carrie Underwood and her Nashville Predator husband Mike Fisher have been dealing with rumors that their marriage is near divorce due to The Sound of Music singer's refusal to get pregnant with the professional hockey player's baby. Despite all that never ending jazz, the Miranda Lambert "Something Bad" collaborator and her wannabe baby daddy are still together. Carrie wished her man a happy fourth anniversary recently on Twitter. The country music star included the line, "the best is yet to come." How did she know she'd be getting honored at the AMC Awards this year?
Despite the never-ending rumors that Carrie Underwood and Mike Fisher are unhappy, the couple still seems happier than ever to be married together.
After spending four very satisfied years with each other, Carrie Underwood chose to commemorate her anniversary on Twitter:
"Four years ago today, I married my best friend. Happy anniversary @mikefisher1212."
"The best is yet to come and I can't wait!"
Underwood might know Mike like the back of his hand, but she doesn't have the best grip on her man's Twitter handle.
Apparently, one cheeky fan caught Carrie's mistake and lovingly poked a little fun.
Hopefully the Academy of Country Music will get Underwood's name right on her new award.
According to Rolling Stone, Carrie can count herself a pretty impressive peer group set to get honorary awards at the year's AMC's:
"The ACM Honors-- a continuation of this year's ACM Awards to hand out the Academy of Country Music's off-camera awards-- has announced its honorees."
"Kris Kristofferson is one of four songwriters receiving the Poet's Award, Merle Haggard is the recipient of the Crystal Milestone Award and Carrie Underwood has been named the winner of the Gene Weed Special Achievement Award, recognizing her superior success in country music."
Well...not too bad for the soon-to-be childless divorcee.
