Despite anything you might have heard and the presumed begging by Divergent producers, Shailene Woodley and Theo James are not dating. Apparently, the couple would both have to breakup with their girlfriends first. The Underworld star has reportedly been with British actress Ruth Kearny since meeting in school, and all the most recent gossip news updates have Shai with Canada's gay Juno, Ellen Page. Word also has it that Woodley will be keeping the new pixie haircut she got for her Fault of Our Stars boyfriend Ansel Elgort in the Insurgent sequel. Shailene doesn't have any problems getting down and dirty in the White Bird in a Blizzard's shocking sex scenes with Shiloh Fernandez, but she thinks wigs are kind of just icky.
It seems when it comes to the new Insurgent sequel, Shailene Woodley is going to get whatever she wants.
During an interview with BuzzFeed, Woodley told the site that she convinced director Robert Schwentke that going to all the trouble of making up a wig to hide her cancer-inspired pixie haircut wouldn't be necessary:
"This is what you'll be seeing...I talked to the director, because I didn't want to wear a wig.
"I think wigs always look wiggy, especially in an action movie.
"We're running so much and doing so much, I think, technically, a wig would have looked quite shitty."
"I think it's cool to have a young heroine with short hair...more modern."
It probably isn't hard for her Fault of Our Stars lover Ansel Elgort to see how Shai was able to persuade Schwentke; Ansel told HollywoodLife that Woodley knows how to get to the heart of things when she speaks to people:
"[Shailene and I are] pretty tight. I like working with her a lot. She's really good.
"She's a really, really good actress. She's a really nice girl--really genuine.
"We talk to each other about personal stuff. We're close. We're good friends, so it's nice to have those kind of people in your life...we really like each other."
Let's hope Ellen Page doesn't hear Ansel talking like that or she might have to really mess him up.
