Former Redskins TE Fred Davis Suspended Assault Charges After Insulting Ex-Girlfriend And Domestic Violence Arrest

Fred Davis can't stay away from his ex-girlfriend even though he usually ends up going to jail. After being arrested in connection with a domestic violence incident which allegedly occurred on June 2, Davis reportedly showed up last week at the same restaurant as his ex-girlfriend, who was there with another man. He then reportedly insulted her and later threw a handful of dirt and flowers at her. Davis is now facing simple assault charges. These are only the latest woes of former the Redskins tight end. He was suspended from the NFL in February in violation of their substance abuse policy.

Davis had just gotten out of jail after being arrested for a domestic violence incident before he encountered his ex-girlfriend again (via Washington Post):

"Police had been searching for Davis since the alleged assault June 2, and they made their plea public Wednesday. Officer Araz Alali, a police spokesman, said Davis walked into the Third District police station on V Street Northwest at 7:20 a.m. on Thursday."

He then approached her in a Washington, D.C. restaurant and proceeded to insult his ex-girlfriend and her date (via CBS Sports):

"A few moments after arriving at the location [Davis] approached [his ex-girlfriend] from behind and placed his hands on her shoulder, turned her around approximately 180 degrees so her backside was facing [her male friend] at which time [Davis] stated to [the friend] 'Why you with her, she doesn't have an a**.'"

Davis then reportedly threw a handful of flowers and dirt at her when she went outside to smoke a cigarette and a scuffle ensued.

Davis, who has been ordered to stay away from his ex, seems to be on a rapid downward spiral of incorrigible behavior.
