Sting WWE Debut At San Diego Comic-Con After 2K15, Undertaker At Wrestlemania Still Possible? [VIDEO]

Wrestling giant Sting made his WWE debut at San Diego's Comic-Con this week, marking the legendary performer's first public appearance in association with WWE in his career. Sting is known, among other things, as the only major name in wrestling to have never signed a contract with the company, but that may all be changing soon. With a major Sting merchandise push and his presence as a playable character in the upcoming video game- WWE 2K15- on the way, Sting is obviously willing to do business with "The Machine". But the question on everybody's mind is, "Will a Wrestlemania match between the Stinger and the Undertaker still be possible?

Sting has reportedly been in contract negotiations with, or at least conversations with, Vince McMahon and Triple H for months. Speculation has been running wild for just as long, but it seems both parties are very interested in Sting joining WWE for at least one match. It's a good sign that they are involved in a licensing agreement, but that doesn't guarantee that he will step into the ring against Taker (if he's healthy), or anyone else, for that matter.

Also, the fact that he made a public appearance on a panel with Hulk Hogan and Daniel Bryan bodes well in the PR department. The internet almost exploded when he Sting showed up at Comic-Con. He had a lot to say, too, which is unusual given his current gimmick (via Bleacher Report):

"I've made it clear I'd love to have one last hurrah, one last big match hopefully. And of course I've been outspoken about Undertaker being the opponent. I know what happened at WrestleMania where Brock Lesnar broke his streak. I think, or at least I'm hoping, that Taker's still going to come back and that he's not done. If he's not done, and he would consider doing it, I'd love to work with him one time. I'd love to wrestle him one time before I call it quits."

For the one wrestler who has famously worked at just about every major promotion except WWE, the merchandise rollout is a very public demonstration of the two parties' willingness to work together. We can't wait to see if this yields a more permanent situation for the Stinger (via Cage Side Seats):

"Well, aside from video games and action figures and t-shirts and things like that, let's just say that I'm open for anything. I've been very public about the fact that I'd like to get in the ring at least one more time and I've named my opponent on and off over the years. It doesn't matter, though. Just one more ... one more."
