Divorced Extant CBS star Halle Berry isn't exactly having the best month of her life. First, Catwoman was ordered to pay her ex-boyfriend, baby daddy Gabriel Aubry, hundreds of thousands of dollars in child support for their 9-year-old daughter, Nahla. Now it looks like Berry's sizable X-MEN net worth will be taking another hit. Word has it that her astronaut network drama is in serious danger of being cancelled. Halle better hope and pray to God that current husband Olivier Martinez doesn't split or she might have to get a second job working on another failed network series.
When it rains, it pours or so it seems to go for Halle Berry lately.
First, the X-MEN star was hit with the bad news that having to pay $16K in child support was the least of her worries.
According to Us Weekly, Berry got hit with more than half a million in fees and fines, in addition to her regular baby bill:
"Halle Berry's split from Gabriel Aubry is turning out to be very expensive.
"The settlement also calls for her to pay a retroactive payment of $115,000 and $300,000 to Aubry's attorneys to 'cover the costs of their custody dispute."
Sadly, her network TV payday may very well soon be over as well; ShowBiz 411 claims that if things don't drastically improve in the next week or two, Extant is going to be nothing but a memory:
"Oscar winner Halle Berry's foray into TV may be over soon. Her much hyped sci fi CBS series, Extant, dropped 27% in the ratings last night from one week ago.
"Extant scored just a 1.1 in the key demo, even though it did manage to pull in 6.43 million viewers. Still, it didn't hold much of the lead it was given by annual junk fest, Big Brother.
"At this rate, Extant will be extinct soon enough."
Well...maybe she can get finally Catwoman 2 of the ground.
