HBO ‘True Blood’ Season 7 New Episode Spoilers: Lafayette Nelsan Ellis Blast Luke Grimes After Gay James ‘Originals’ Nathan Parson Replacement [TRAILER]

SPOILER ALERT: HBO’s True Blood is all new this weekend with another episode from it’s final season. Check out the preview and trailer to see what is in store for the residents of Bon Temps. Meanwhile, Lafayette actor Nelsan Ellis recently bashed former James actor Luke Grimes. Grimes was replaced Originals star Nathan Parsons. It has been widely reported Grimes left the show because he was uncomfortable with the James/Lafayette gay sex scene.

The official plot synopsis for tonight’s all new episode, titled “Karma,” reads:

“Eric and Pam find a new ally in their search for a common enemy; Sookie makes a startling discovery that forces her to rethink her recent involvement with Bill; Lafayette shares a vision with Lettie Mae; Jason realizes how he really feels about Violet; Sam isn't sure what to do about Nicole.”

Last week’s new episode featured a hook-up between Lafayette, Nelsan Ellis, and the new James, Nathan Parsons. The scene in question was rumored to be the reason Luke Grimes left the role. Now Ellis is opening up about Grimes departure, telling o Vulture:

“I can say I'm not going to make a comment, but I just think that, you're an actor, you're an actor on a show that's True Blood, we're all sitting there going, ‘You quit your job because ... really?’ I'm just... I'm over him. You quit your job because you don't want to play a gay part? As if it's ... You know what? I'm going to stop talking.”

However, Ellis didn’t stop there, adding:

“If you have a child, if you have a son, and he comes out as gay, what are you going to do? If you have a daughter who comes out gay ...? You just made a statement, and it has ripple effects. First of all, this show, it's True Blood, and s**t, we get scared when we read scripts! Excuse my language. When scripts come, we're like, ‘What are they going to have us do this week?’ But when you make a statement that is a judgment ... I was kind of like, ‘Have you met Alan Ball?’ I'm supposed to do what my boss tells me to do, as an actor. I can't approach a character with judgment. I certainly can't tell my boss, ‘I can act what I want to act, but not what you tell me to act,’ especially on a show where you come in, knowing what it is. I was like, ‘Okay... I guess?’"

Check out the all new episode of True Blood tonight at 9:00 p.m. Eastern on HBO.
